159X VACANCIES-EXTENDED PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMME
The Municipality invites applications from suitably qualified persons from all towns, townships, and villages in all our wards for Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) for positions for an eleven (11) months period starting from August toll July 2023
The EPWP is a key government public employment programme that works to address poverty and unemployment by providing short-term work opportunities to the previously disadvantaged citizens of South Africa, more particularly those resident within the municipality boundaries of Nkomazi Municipality .
159 Vacancies will be distributed to all 33 wards within Nkomazi Local Municipality boundaries, only one person per household will be considered for appointment . Acts of fraud and dishonest in this regard will be punishable by disqualification.
REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
South African citizens, particularly those born and bred within the Nkomazi Municipality boundaries , with valid identity document , Good interpersonal communication skills Qualifying candidates must be between the 18 and 56 years. Whoever qualifies must be unemployed and coming from poor families as contemplated in the EPWP prescripts. Applicants will be expected to carry out field work duties at all times.
RESPONBILITIES
Responsible for any labour intensive work among others including cleaning and other general work that will be identified and determined from time to time within communities.
INSTRUCTION TO APPLICANTS:
Applicants should submit applications clearly indicating name of the post and physical address in addition to personal details. A certified copy of applications ID must be attached to the application. All applications must be submitted to the following nearest municipal offices: Malalane Civic Centre, Hectorspriut Disaster Centre, Komatipoort Municipal offices, Marloth Park Municipal offices, KaMaqhekeza Municipal office,Tonga Municipal offices, Mzinti Municipal offices, Kamhlushwa Municipal offices, Driekoppies Municipal offices, Mbuzini Library, Mbangwane Thusong Centre and Louiville Thusong Centre. It is required that on submision of applications must complete an attendance register avaible at the drop of point.
Applicants must take note that successful candidates will be expected to sign a twelve (12) moths contract with the municipality
