REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Grade 10 (STD 8) or above with relevant experience where applicable. Proven ability to work independently without constant supervision. Good health and the ability to do physical work are further requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for any labour intensive work as required such as maintenance, cleaning, waste collection, parks and cemeteries (grass cutting). Loading and offloading of work material to and from sites. Water pipeline and drain pipeline maintenance. Trenching and excavation for pipeline routes, Water Reticulation, Street and Stormwater. Maintenance of electrical components and street lights. General housekeeping of the workshops, offices and buildings, and perform any other general work as required by the Supervisor.
SALARY SCALE: R124, 441.59 – R146, 905.94 per annum (TASK GRADE 03)
