Our Bespoke programme includes on-the-job-learning and mentoring from your experience Merchant teams (Planner, Buyer, etc.) and classroom or virtual based training offered by our Learning and Development teams. The structured programme will help you demonstrate an awareness of the factors which influence the way we perform in current trade, how to manage opportunities & risks, how to optimize stock, how build an assortment, how to forecast a financial plan, basically we will develop you into the role of an experienced Retail Planner.
Current Trade. You will learn the fundamentals of Current trade. In your team you will extract and analyze financial KPI’s and product performance against set plan. Contribute towards compiling a draft report highlighting all issues that have impacted performance. Assist with the re-forecasting of financial plans. Conduct regular competitive shops/store visits and produce reports on your findings and recommended action solutions.
Learn how to build the product assortment by participating in building the assortment plan in collaboration with the buying & location planning teams. Maintain the assortment using our relevant systems. Support the Planner by extract and analyzing reports on the assortment.
Order Placements & Product Allocation. You will create order lines for the season with your greater team paying close attention to detail with your inputs. Follow up on orders and resolve any potential problems with your Planner. Assist the greater team to ensure order raising & allocations are completed timeously.
